My Turn
I am a competitive Road cyclist and log about 12kmiles/year. I participated in Tom's Workshop again this Saturday with my family. For the past several months I have had a chronic shoulder condition in which I have pain and tenderness. Recently I was in a car accident and both shoulders were now bothering me. (After the first workshop) I spent one morning meditating and concentrating on trying to get this "rush" of biochemicals pour over my shoulders. I was able to perceive a cascading effect similar to sitting in a bathtub and having water poured over your head. I concentrated on my shoulders and experienced a drenching of waves over them. During that day all - and I mean all - my pain was gone and has not retuned since. I have not altered any of my training or exercise regime!
... this "rush" lasts 10-15 minutes and comes in waves one after another mostly unbroken but sometimes broken in its undulation. Overall when I am doing this I am experiencing a sense of calm and after wards a sense of exuberance. Thank you again for a wonderful experience on Saturday.
